Solomon Systech Sponsors E Ink Holdings “eRead for the Future” Project

to Build Mobile Libraries for All Elementary Schools and Public Libraries in Keelung City, Taiwan

(Hong Kong, 4 October 2023) Solomon Systech (International) Limited (“Solomon Systech” or the “Company”, stock code: 2878) is pleased to announce that the Company, in collaboration with 21 e-paper ecosystem partner companies including the event organiser E Ink Holdings and the Keelung City Government of Taiwan, will establish the “eRead for the Future” mobile libraries for all of the 39 elementary schools and 10 public libraries in the city. The participating companies donated a total of 1,075 color e-book readers and nearly 110,000 e-books (each reader contains 102 quality e-books for lower, middle and upper grades), with a total donation value of NT$29.11 million. The e-books will benefit more than 15,000 students in Keelung City and enhance their overall learning. Solomon Systech is one of the sponsors of the e-book procurement.

The “eRead for the Future” project provides students with means of eye-friendly digital reading by utilizing the e-paper core technology, e-book readers that are especially devised for reading, and a variety of e-books with rich content. The e-books donated to Keelung City this year include reading materials on sustainable education selected based on the theme of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which will help schoolchildren establish the concept of ESG sustainable development in daily class reading activities.

The 22 participating e-paper ecosystem partner companies include E Ink Holdings, the event organiser, and Solomon Systech, Netronix Inc., Analog Integrations Corporation, Readmoo, Wacom, Fitipower, Xuan Tong System Integration, Uniflex Technology, Hsu Kuang Foil Technology, Kuen Yuh Machinery Engineering, Himax Technologies, EFUN Technology, Global Lighting Technologies, Sharp Display Technology, Innolux, Elan Microelectronics, Crown Machinery, Integrated Solutions Technology, Ushine Photonics, Lian Cang Jiao Tong, and Lee Ming Construction.
