Solomon Systech Appoints Raymond Wang as Acting CEO

(HONG KONG, 14 March 2019) Solomon Systech (International) Limited (the “Company”) (SEHK: 2878) has today announced that its Board of Directors (“the Board”) has appointed Raymond Wang, Corporate VP and Head of Advanced Display Business Unit of Solomon Systech Limited (“SSL”, a wholly-owned major operating subsidiary of the Company), to the position of Acting Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) effective 14 March 2019, as Dr. Archie Yeh who joined SSL as CEO in 2016, has tendered his resignation to focus more on his personal pursuits. Dr. Yeh will assume the role of consultant of the Company until further notice to facilitate the transition.

Raymond Wang is a chartered engineer and a veteran with over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with expertise spanning from strategic management, business and market development to product innovation. Prior to joining SSL, Mr. Wang had held senior management positions in Motorola Inc. and worked in Hong Kong, US and Canada. He had also held the position of the Asia Pacific Head of RFWaves Ltd. in Israel. Mr. Wang graduated from the City University of Hong Kong with a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering. He received a master of business administration degree from the Victoria University of Wellington and a master of arts degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
