Solomon Systech Appoints Founder and Chairman Emeritus, Chairman, and Executive Director
(Hong Kong – 7 June, 2016) The Board of Directors (“the Board”) of Solomon Systech (International) Limited (the “Company”) today announced that, with effect from the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting (”AGM”) held on 7 June 2016, Dr. Leung Kwong Wai (“Dr. Humphrey Leung”), Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Company, having served on the Board for over 12 years, has retired by rotation as a Director and decided not to offer himself for re-election at the AGM. He has been honored as Founder and Chairman Emeritus of the Company in recognition of his invaluable contributions during his tenure of services. Mr. Li Rongxin has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board, in place of Dr. Leung. The Board has also appointed Mr. Lo Wai Ming as an Executive Director of the Company.
Mr. Li Rongxin has been a Non-Executive Director of the Company since 2014. A veteran in the technology field, Mr. Li is currently deputy general manager of Huada Semiconductors Co. Ltd# (華大半導體有限公司), a PRC company with limited liability under China Electronics Corporation# (中國電子訊息產業集團有限公司) and a substantial shareholder of the Company. Mr. Li has held a number of leadership roles in the technology sector, including director of Shanghai Belling Co., Ltd. and Montage Technology Group Limited. He was general manager and later director of Shanghai Huahong Integrated Circuit Co., Ltd. He also worked in Intel (China) Co. Ltd., and gained overseas work experience in the US and South East Asia. Mr. Li received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Fudan University, and an EMBA degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Currently Vice President, Business Operations of Solomon Systech Limited (“Solomon Systech”), Mr. Lo Wai Ming has been appointed as an Executive Director and a member of the Investment Committee with effect from the conclusion of the AGM, replacing Mr. Cheung Wai Kuen, Kenny, who retired by rotation as a Director and did not offer himself for re-election at the AGM due to his other work commitments.
Mr. Lo has 30 years of experience in semiconductors industry, specializing in product and business development. As one of the founding employees, Mr. Lo joined Solomon Systech at its inception in 1999 as Business Operations Director. Prior to joining Solomon Systech, he was business operations manager of Motorola Semiconductors Hong Kong Limited. He was an Executive Director of the Board from 2004 to 2010. Mr. Lo holds a Master of Science degree in electronic engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic (now The Hong Kong Polytechnic University), and a Master of Science degree in energy and environmental sustainability from The Open University of Hong Kong.
