SSD2023U’s Chip-on-Film (COF) design, unlike traditional Chip-on-Glass (COG) design, helps achieve the best “bezel-less” display. Currently the 1st tier “bezel-less” smartphones in market, adopting the traditional COG design, virtually achieve no bezels on the side and top, and only a thin bottom edge of 4-4.3mm.
However, the unique circuit design of SSD2023U adopting high-speed multiplexing technology which enables the use of Chip-on-Film (COF) design, helps further reduce the bottom edge to only 2.7mm, and allows end users to experience more close to completely bezel-less display. Moreover, that only a single layer design of COF is used helps minimize the cost of production.
