(Hong Kong, 29 December 2025) Solomon Systech (International) Limited (“Solomon Systech” or the “Company”, stock code: 2878) is pleased to announce that the Company, in collaboration with 20 e-paper ecosystem partner companies including the event organiser E Ink Holdings and the Miaoli County Government of Taiwan, will establish the “eRead for the Future” mobile libraries for 42 elementary schools in the rural areas of the county. The participating companies donated a total of 1,040 color e-book readers and over 170,000 e-books (each reader contains 164 quality e-books for lower, middle and upper grades), with a total donation value of over NT$30 million. The e-books will benefit nearly 21,000 students in Miaoli County. Solomon Systech is one of the sponsors of the e-book procurement.
The “eRead for the Future” project provides students with eye-friendly digital reading and learning devices by utilizing the e-paper core technology, e-book readers that are especially devised for reading, and a variety of e-books with rich content. A total of 164 e-books were donated to Miaoli County this year, including 32 works of local literature and picture books. These e-books help students deepen their understanding and build stronger connections to local culture through digital reading. Meanwhile, the selection aligns with Miaoli’s policy focus on English education and technological development, crafting a featured bilingual book list. The list also includes content in line with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The 21 participating e-paper ecosystem partner companies include E Ink Holdings, the event organiser, and Solomon Systech, Netronix Inc., BOOKS.COM, Ubright Optronics – Zhunan, Fitipower, Zheng Sheng Hi-Tech, Xuan Tong System Integration, Uniflex Technology, Kuen Yuh Machinery Engineering, Himax Technologies, EFUN Technology, Global Lighting Technologies, Desiccant Technology, Innolux, Elan Microelectronics, Crown Machinery, Integrated Solutions Technology, Ushine Photonics, Lee Ming Construction and ePaper Industry Alliance.
Mr. Wang Wah Chi Raymond, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Solomon Systech said, “This year marks the ninth year of the community project ‘eRead for the Future’. With the ultimate goal of ‘one school, one e-book mobile library’, the project has sponsored 256 schools and 29 libraries, benefiting more than 90,000 students over the years. Solomon Systech has sponsored the project for four consecutive years, witnessing e-book readers expand progressively—from Penghu, Keelung, and Yunlin to Miaoli County this year. The initiative has enabled more students to experience the portability and eye-friendly features of e-book readers. As new-generation students grow up in a digital learning environment, e-book readers not only help them focus on reading, but also significantly reduce carbon emissions compared with traditional printed books, effectively fostering environmental sustainability.”
