SSD1231 is a TFT-LCD source driver that can drive up to 384 pins with 6-bit, 64-gray scales. SSD1231 is expendable to support XGA, WXGA, SXGA and QXGA format.

SSD1231 has a large output dynamic range of 12Vp-p. It can operate at maximum data clock frequency of 85 MHz. Together with dot/line inversion and gamma correction function, it produces high quality pictures.

To reduce the number of pins and electromagnetic interference (EMI), RSDS interface is used as data input for SSD1231.
