GIGA CSTN LCD Driver won the Gold Award in
the 2002 HKEIA Award for Outstanding Innovation and
Technology Products ˇV Parts & Components.
In addition, the IC also won the Grand
Award as the best product for the whole events. The awards were presented by Mr. Francis Ho, Permanent
Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology,
to Mr. Humphrey Leung, President and Managing
Director of Solomon Systech Limited.
Within only 3 years Solomon Systech Limited has
introduced more than 30 new IC products for
telecommunication and display market.
It has established its brand name around the
world and has become a major IC supplier in the
global market for cellular phones.

families for advanced display,ˇ¨ said Mr. Humphrey Leung.
ˇ§This IC is the world 1st single chip
LCD Driver Controller with built-in graphic acceleration

About the Award
Itˇ¦s
the fourth successive year the Hong Kong Electronic
Industries Association (HKEIA), together with the
Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC),
organiser of the Hong Kong Electronics Fair and
electronicAsia, organized the HKEIA Award for
Outstanding Innovation and Technology Products for
exhibitors at the Electronics fair and
electronicAsia. The main objectives of this
competition are to raise the image of products to
overseas customers, stimulate more creativeness
within the industry and to recognize and reward
those companies which are able to produce
outstanding new products excellent in areas of
design, technology or feature.

Similar to previous years, applicants were
invited from exhibitors of the above fairs to participate in
one of the two broad product categories - consumer
electronics and parts and components.
Selection of products will be made by a judging panel
comprising mainly third -party independent bodies to ensure
total fairness and impartiality. These include the academia
(professors from universities), tertiary bodies (HK
Productivity Council, HK Trade Development Council, HK
Science and Technology Parks Corp., etc.) and commercial
fields.
