Multimedia Processor
SSD1933 is a low-power, high-performance multimedia processor designed for portable electronic devices that require an application processor with extensive multimedia processing power, such feature-rich cell phones, portable media player, mobile digital television, and mobile internet devices. It combines a high performance ARM9 RISC core, an efficient VLIW and SIMD based DSP engine that supports a wide range of audio and video codecs, and a rich set of on-chip peripherals for maximum connectivity.
- ARM926EJ-based CPU core with 8KB I-cache and 8KB D-cache, up to 240MHz
- AV-DSP engine supports multi-format audio and video codec, up to 270MHz
- H.264/AVC baseline profile encoding/decoding at SD/D1 resolution
- MPEG-4 advanced simple profile decoding at SD/D1 resolution
- MPEG-4 simple profile encoding/decoding at SD/D1 resolution
- MPEG-2 Main Profile@Main Level decoding at SD/D1 resolution
- JPEG encoding/decoding up to 12M pixel
- 8-bit ITU-R BT.601/656 camera interface supports up to 12M pixel resolution
- 2D Graphics Accelerator with BitBLT, alpha blending and hardware rotation
- Transport Stream Interface to directly interface with digital TV demodulator
- Dedicated video processor for enhanced video and image processing
- 24-bit LCD controller supports STN/TFT panels up to 800x480 resolution
- On-chip NTSC/PAL video encoder for TV output
- On-chip USB 2.0 OTG controller with integrated PHY supporting high-speed transfer (480Mbps)
- Support 6x6 key pad matrix with automatic key scanning and detection
- Support x16/x32 mobile DDR/SDR-SDRAM
- On-chip NAND Flash controller supports 8/16-bit SLC and MLC with hardware ECC engine
- Rich connectivity (MMC/SDHC/SDIO, SSI, I2S, I2C, SPI, GPIO)

- Flexible boot mode selection from NAND, NOR, UART and USB
